What a wonderful music promo to be involved with!

A very ambitious project from the get go, lighting played a huge role in setting the scene, which I fully enjoyed.

After a brief chat with the DOP Sam Mayer, he described “I want moments of darkness, and a looming sense of a fire brewing”

Lighting wise the plan was to use the following, Astera AX-1 pixel tubes, Arri 1000w & 650w fresnels and Aladdin 1by1 RGB All-In-One flexible LED panels. We positioned tubes near each vent & the occasional hard light to increase the drama. The Astera AX-1 tubes workflow is simple using an application on your Apple iPad Pro, it allowed myself the ability to cue moments of flicker/strobe to give the viewer, the increased idea that the buildings electrics was failing. To replicate a fire we used two Aladdin 1by1 All-In-One RGB flexible LEDS, complete with soft-boxes, I positioned the lamps flush to each other. I then fine tuned the fire effect using the All-In-One application.
